Strong Mind & Body Box- PTC Collaborative Grant

Peachtree City coordinated the commitment and partnership with 7 other clubs (Barnesville, Fayetteville, Griffin, Griffin Daybreak, Lake Spivey / Clayton County, Newnan and Tryone) across our area to apply for and receive the first District Collaborative Grant.

One in eight people in Georgia rely on food pantries and meal service programs to feed themselves and their families. The health and well-being of our community affects us all.

Our “strong mind and body box” will provide 64 non profit agencies (approximately 1200 families or 4800 people) with healthy food items to prepare several meals as well as healthy recipes, physical and mental health wellness tips, healthy habits coloring books for kids, and information on dealing with anxiety and stress.

Volunteers will have 4 sessions to pack out the boxes and 2 sessions to be able to meet the receiving agencies during distribution days.

Huge public image impact with Each of the 1200 boxes having stickers on the outside with our Rotary logos (district and clubs) along with internal documents having Rotary logos and information about our organization.
